The GBC ShredMaster® 6550X moderate security shredder is ideal for shredding important documents and is designed to accommodate multiple users shredding large size jobs.GBC ShredMaster Shredders easily eliminate all types of sensitive information. It effortlessly shreds up to 26 sheets into 3/16" x 2 3/8" chips. This model offers greater security and bulk reduction than the strip cut 6500S, but has many of its same capabilities.

It is equipped with GBCs Jam-Stopper electronics: bag-full sensor shuts machine off before jams, automatic stop eliminates motor wear and tear, and indicator light informs the operator when waste bin is full. The automatic shut off feature is triggered once the cabinet door is opened. The extra large, 55 gallon waste bin eliminates the need for frequent bag changes. GBC Shredmaster production shredders are built for years of reliable service and are backed by a complete three year manufacturers warranty, with lifetime on cutting heads. Shredders Security Standards

Paper shredders fall into six levels of security level 1 (lowest) to level 6 (highest) as defined in DIN32757. These levels have been defined under different considerations about information media and security required. For normal home use then a lower level of security is suitable. For an office where information such as personnel and wage documents are being disposed, then a higher level (cross cut shredder model) would be suitable.


Level 1

Description:

Best for low level security – general paperwork
